If you chose not to be listed as a DNA match, you will not see this option. If you want your DNA matches to see your name, click your name. If you want your DNA matches to see your username, click your username. Enter the details related to the minor such as date of birth and gender. If you have already registered your account with Ancestry DNA, you can directly log in to your account by clicking the "sign in" option.

After you get this confirmation message, you can check its status at any time by going to the DNA tab and selecting "Your DNA Results Summary." You should always be wary that the company cannot process your DNA sample if you haven't activated your kit. So, the activation procedure is also quite important.

An activation code is a 15-digit series of alternating letters and numbers printed both on the side of your tube and on your instruction packet. If your code is permanently gone and your kit isn’t activated, we’ll need to send you another kit, even if you mailed your sample. Contact us to request a free replacement kit. Each person over the age of 18 must create their own account and activate their own kit. You must activate your DNA kit to see your results. Your unique activation code is what we use to identify your DNA sample.
Each adult who takes the test needs their own account. Except for with minor children, only one DNA kit can be activated per account. You can also invite someone else to activate their kitoractivate your child's kit. When you access your account, you will be asked to enter the activation code. And activate your account to be aware of the history of your ancestors.
To activate your Ancestry DNA kit, you need to buy the same. Below is the entire process. Remove the funnel from the tube. Screw on the enclosed cap tightly to release the solution that will stabilize the DNA in your saliva.
You can only activate a DNA kit for a minor child if you are that person's parent or legal guardian. However, anyone over the age of 18 must create their own account and activate their own kit. Click Yes to see your DNA matches and be listed as a match or No to not see or be seen by your matches. DNA matches are people who are related to you. If you do not want to be visible to biological family, click No. If you want to find and be found by biological family, click Yes. You can change this preference at any time. If you're signed in to your account, click Yes.
Do not do it hard as it may damage the tube. You need to collect your saliva in the tube provided with the kit. The saliva collected should be kept in the tube safe. In order to activate your DNA kit, click on the Next button. After the creation of your AncestryDNA account, you now need to learn how to set it up.
To avoid auto-renewing cancel at least 2 days before your renewal date by visiting My Account or calling ANCESTRY. Present your activation code in the appropriate instructed field. Option and enter your email address. Verify your new password by entering the link sent to your email address. Follow the further steps shown on the screen to change your password. The most crucial step you have to take is to send the collection bag to the Ancestry DNA.
